Also, I would like to address the ongoing comments shared by children's parents who are not a part of PTA. Nor have these parents been involved in the past for a variety of reasons, mostly work related. You do not have to attend all the meetings to be a voice in PTA. There are other ways in which you can be a great influence in your child's educational experience. PTA is an organization which works with you (the Parent), teachers and the school district to provide a more positive educational experience for everyone including your child. We help sponsor activities which enrich the educational process for all CHILDREN who attend Brattain and try to do it in a way that INCLUDES EACH child regardless of social economic status. Through your membership dues we are a greater voice when it comes to issues related to your child's future.
